Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner Review

Neutrogena appears to have changed their formula from the alcohol-free toner they made that I liked to purchase nearly a decade ago. The old formula was great at cleaning and refreshing my oily skin without stripping moisture levels. This formula is not, in my opinion, meant for those with oily skin. It is very moisturizing, which many would like. For me, however, it leaves my skin much too oily and seems to aggravate my complexion. I would recommend this for someone with normal to dry skin, but don’t feel like it does the trick for those of us with oily skin.

Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner Review

This Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner left my face feeling clean and fresh and didn’t dry my skin out like some other toners do. This product claims to reduce the appearance of pores and lines, which I didn’t really notice, but maybe you have to use it for longer. Though this toner had a fairly strong medicinal fragrance, I didn’t find the odor objectionable and it seemed to dissipate rather quickly after application. I’ll continue to use this and see if the appearance of my pores improves.

I use this spot gel on my occasional, mild to moderate acne and it really does diminish the appearance and pain of any emerging zits I get. It works especially well overnight when the skin is more relaxed. From personal experience, however, I don’t recommend using such salicylic acid acne gels on large areas of skin over lengthy periods of time. In the past, it worked so well for me that I thought, “Why not use it as an everyday acne treatment to prevent acne? I could use this for my entire T-zone area!” How foolish that turned out to be, because I ended up with irritated skin and more acne where there formerly was not any. After all, it is called a “spot gel” for a reason. With that said, a small dab used directly on a zit will suffice.
I feel the need to add a disclaimer here. As one of the other reviewers stated, each person reacts differently to different remedies, so it is advisable to try a slight amount first. I personally have combination type skin, and this gel does not “burn” nor even dry my skin. Also, the very first review on this gel sounds suspiciously extreme.

This product is very strong, but it works. I found that I need to use just a little on zits. I tried putting it on acne scars and it did make me break out. It is very strong and works very well when used as intended.

Works great for me when used as intended: as a spot treatment. Don’t use over large areas or more often than directed. Has a very noticeable (and positive) effect overnight, and often elimates individual blemishes or small areas of break-outs within a day or two. As others have noted, some may be more sensitive, but even if my skin were hyper sensitive I believe that I’d prefer a small red spot to a large zit any day.

I have really liked this product. I have found that there is slight discomfort in some situations, and there can be minor eye irritation if the product is applied carelessly, but I think these are really just testaments to the stopping power of the gel.
What’s important to remember is that each individual’s reaction to a given salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide solution can be very different, so while I’ll admit that outcomes like those mentioned here are possible, they certainly aren’t the norm. My use of the product has yielded fast and noticable results, so I would definitely recommend it.
For those that are still worried, I would have to say that consulting a doctor is the safest course of action, and that perhaps one could test a small area of his or her face upon receipt of the product instead of engaging in profligate and careless application.

This product is great. I bought it just after alot of scar fading treatments came out on the market. When used 3 times a week I noticed that the scars from my acne had faded considerably and much more than they would have before without the treatment. I haven’t used it recently because the store I use to buy from stopped carrying it, and was relived to find it again online!
This works great on normal to oily skin. I do not know about dryer skin types though.
I have had to explain to people before though that it is not ment to remove acne – just the scars caused from it. So if you are looking for a treatment to get rid of acne this is not it. However I would strongly suggest using it with a actual acne removal treatment!

This product is perfect for my skin. My chin, forehead and especially my nose tend to be oily, but the rest of my face can be really dry. Anything I use to prevent or reduce acne generally dries out my face. If I just use regular lotion on my face, I can’t use it on my nose as it becomes horribly itchy (Weird).
I haven’t been able to find this moisturizer at my regular stores lately, so I used another brand’s moisturizer (Dove, I believe), and my face started breaking out by the next day. I’ve read other reviews where people said the anti-acne part of this moisturizer actually dries out their skin, but this moisturizer makes my skin softer than it’s ever been. I guess it just really depends on your skin type. They should sell cheaper samples, so people can try out these kind of products. Oh well. I’m just glad to find it on Amazon.

Hooray though, So i love this moisturizer, cause its sooo light! Its really like your rubbing nothing into your skin, But you clearly are, and it actually cleans your skin! I not only have acne on my jawline, but i have a lot of tiny blackheads on my nose, i wasnt even expecting this to change that, all of the little white stuff in each blackhead, was all coming out of their pores after a couple hours!
I love this moisturizer, it is by far the best thing i’ve ever used, when i get out of the shower, i usually have really dry skin areas, like my forehead and around my nose, so i was worried this would dry out my face, but it doesnt at all, this stuff if seriously awesome, i love it!!! : D

Great texture, great SPF coverage, not too oily and did not cause any irritations on my sensitive skin. Pretty good product for the cost! I could tell a difference in the feel of my skin when I washed after the first time I used it. My skin felt smoother, softer. I guess it’s what marketing departments refer to as “refining” my wrinkles.
I had to give it a “FOUR” star rating however! Perhaps it is just me, but the odor of the cream was not pleasant. Walking around with the smell of this stuff on my face distracted me all morning. As a smoker, I typically do not have as strong as a sense of smell as others, but this stuff was powerful enough to make me change to RoC’s daily SPF

After some research, I chose this product for daytime use, since it was reasonably priced and provided both retinol and sunscreen. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks now and my skin is softer and smoother, with a dewy glow (even when I’m not wearing any moisturizer or makeup)–a significant improvement in texture in a relatively short amount of time. It absorbs quickly, moisturizes without being greasy, and works equally well alone or under makeup. I deducted one star because I haven’t seen any major lessening of my fine lines and wrinkles (yet), although I’m hopeful that the benefits will increase with continued use. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this product and would recommend it.

I have been using this product for about 1 year now. I use it in the shower after I shave. It seems to cut down on the razor burn and does prevent break outs. The product rinses clean. It does however dry the nose somewhat. I notice that it seems to be somewhat effective on body acne as well. I will continue to use the product as long as they make it. I can only speak of the face clearing wash, as I have not really used anything else by this company. I will say that this product can be purchased in a chain store for about $4.34 a tube. The package deal(4) for almost $20.00 here doesn’t appear to be the best deal out there.

This is one of tried-and-true products I feel I can’t live without. Primarily I use it on my nose all day, every day, to control oil and shine; for this area, this product seems to have the perfect balance; haven’t had a breakout there in a long time now and the oil is greatly reduced with only rare peeling. However it is a little too strong for such frequent applications on any other part of my face. It doesn’t irritate or sting my skin, but I do have to make sure it is thoroughly absorbed before applying makeup. I use it on my chest and upper back only periodically, to keep those areas clear. A little does go a long way and is very effective in most areas.
The only area it doesn’t seem to help much is my chin; not sure why, but it has never done much in the way of prevention or clearing for that area. But then again, I haven’t found anything else that helps there either.

I’ve tried many over the counter and prescription acne products, and this one is definitely most effective for me. It is a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide solution which is actually more effective than the 10% solutions and is far less irritating. It’s name is “On-the-Spot,” but my dermatologist instructed me to use is all over as a preventative measure, as it is relatively gentle compared to some other treatments. Just use a moisturizer with sunscreen after applying it. As with ALL benzoyl peroxide treatments, there is a risk of bleaching to clothing. I’ve noticed that it really only bleaches lighter colors, such as pastels and some grays, but I’ve never had it bleach anything with bold colors such as black, navy, gold, etc.

Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser Reviews

After years of searching, I read some consumer testing that this was the best facial cleanser so I tried it. I was not disappointed. It removes all traces of dirt and makeup (even mascara). You can even test it by using a skin toner and a cottonball afterwards and your cottonball will be clean.

I’ve used this for over a year and it is absolutely my favorite facial cleaner, it gets my face the cleanest and does not dry my face nor make it feel tight.

Love it and recommend highly.

My husband and I have been using this for about 10 years. We both have combination/oily skin. It removes my makeup, rinses nicely, and doesn’t dry my skin out. It is even reasonably priced. I can’t think of a downside. Once we tried Olay’s version. We liked that too, but it was a touch too moisturizing for our skin.
