Clinique Superbalanced Makeup is designated by Clinique to best suit normal to oily skin types (skin types II and III in their classification system). If you have problem skin and have trouble finding a base makeup that doesn’t break your skin out, we definitely recommend Clinique superbalanced makeup. When applying makeup, start at the middle of your face and gently blend outward with your fingertips, paying particular attention to blending edges around your jaw line and hairline.

I had been happily using the same Maybelline foundation for a few years when it suddenly got discontinued – and so began my search for a replacement.
After purchasing many, many different foundations and formulas (including M.A.C.) – most of which gave me oompa loompa sydrome (read: cakey orange face) – I found Clinique’s Superbalanced Makeup.
I have combination skin that is more dry than oily, and this foundation, when paired with the stay matte pressed powder, gives me wonderful silky coverage that looks natural and lasts all day (or night). It doesn’t cause me to break out, have a shiny nose or a flaking chin or forehead (which has been known to happen with me for some reason). All and all, I’m perfectly happy and very much impressed with Clinique’s products (I also use their blush and eyeshadows).
I’d recommend this product to anyone with Dry Combination skin with a tendency to be a little sensitive.
