This came up on Amazon as recommended for me and I decided to try it.
I put this product on under my makeup and my makeup stays in place the entire day. There is no shine that seeps through even though I work 8 hours per day in an office. When I get home, there is no oil on my skin so it really does what it says that it will do.
I have been using Smashbox Photo Finish for an under makeup primer but it is very expensive ($35.00 at Sephora) and there is not much in the bottle. Also the Avon MagiX has an SPF 20 in it which the Smashbox does not. So for the money, Avon MagiX at $8.00 is quite the better buy.
Also my skin looks poreless with the Avon product. My skin looks poreless with the Smashbox as well, but again the price is so much more than the Avon product.
I highly recommend Avon MagiX if you want a flawless finish and if you want your makeup to last the day.

Let me tell you. I’m a budget queen, especially in this recession. I’m all for loyalty, but a product’s got to be GREAT for me to stick with it and buy it repeatedly. This is it.
I am 41, have combination/oily skin which becomes an oil slick in the summer. Finally a SMART primer. Even though I am African-American, I’ve been wearing sunscreen daily in my moisturizer since my early 20s and having it “sneaked” into my primer is an added bonus for the days when all I need is a slick of lip gloss and a non-shiny complexion.
It stays put, doesn’t give me an overly unnatural super-matte finish and controls shine beautifully. I’ve got to give Avon a hi five on this one; I have a feeling other primers will be following suit shortly and combining theirs with SPF protection, too. It should be the norm. Smart product that works well! Stock up, girls – stock up!
Only thing I wish is that it were in a 2 oz. or even a 4 oz. tube. With all the talk about going green and being responsible at least give us the option to buy more at a time without using all the extra plastic.
