I use this spot gel on my occasional, mild to moderate acne and it really does diminish the appearance and pain of any emerging zits I get. It works especially well overnight when the skin is more relaxed. From personal experience, however, I don’t recommend using such salicylic acid acne gels on large areas of skin over lengthy periods of time. In the past, it worked so well for me that I thought, “Why not use it as an everyday acne treatment to prevent acne? I could use this for my entire T-zone area!” How foolish that turned out to be, because I ended up with irritated skin and more acne where there formerly was not any. After all, it is called a “spot gel” for a reason. With that said, a small dab used directly on a zit will suffice.
I feel the need to add a disclaimer here. As one of the other reviewers stated, each person reacts differently to different remedies, so it is advisable to try a slight amount first. I personally have combination type skin, and this gel does not “burn” nor even dry my skin. Also, the very first review on this gel sounds suspiciously extreme.

Works great for me when used as intended: as a spot treatment. Don’t use over large areas or more often than directed. Has a very noticeable (and positive) effect overnight, and often elimates individual blemishes or small areas of break-outs within a day or two. As others have noted, some may be more sensitive, but even if my skin were hyper sensitive I believe that I’d prefer a small red spot to a large zit any day.

I have really liked this product. I have found that there is slight discomfort in some situations, and there can be minor eye irritation if the product is applied carelessly, but I think these are really just testaments to the stopping power of the gel.
What’s important to remember is that each individual’s reaction to a given salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide solution can be very different, so while I’ll admit that outcomes like those mentioned here are possible, they certainly aren’t the norm. My use of the product has yielded fast and noticable results, so I would definitely recommend it.
For those that are still worried, I would have to say that consulting a doctor is the safest course of action, and that perhaps one could test a small area of his or her face upon receipt of the product instead of engaging in profligate and careless application.

This product is great. I bought it just after alot of scar fading treatments came out on the market. When used 3 times a week I noticed that the scars from my acne had faded considerably and much more than they would have before without the treatment. I haven’t used it recently because the store I use to buy from stopped carrying it, and was relived to find it again online!
This works great on normal to oily skin. I do not know about dryer skin types though.
I have had to explain to people before though that it is not ment to remove acne – just the scars caused from it. So if you are looking for a treatment to get rid of acne this is not it. However I would strongly suggest using it with a actual acne removal treatment!

This product is perfect for my skin. My chin, forehead and especially my nose tend to be oily, but the rest of my face can be really dry. Anything I use to prevent or reduce acne generally dries out my face. If I just use regular lotion on my face, I can’t use it on my nose as it becomes horribly itchy (Weird).
I haven’t been able to find this moisturizer at my regular stores lately, so I used another brand’s moisturizer (Dove, I believe), and my face started breaking out by the next day. I’ve read other reviews where people said the anti-acne part of this moisturizer actually dries out their skin, but this moisturizer makes my skin softer than it’s ever been. I guess it just really depends on your skin type. They should sell cheaper samples, so people can try out these kind of products. Oh well. I’m just glad to find it on Amazon.

Hooray though, So i love this moisturizer, cause its sooo light! Its really like your rubbing nothing into your skin, But you clearly are, and it actually cleans your skin! I not only have acne on my jawline, but i have a lot of tiny blackheads on my nose, i wasnt even expecting this to change that, all of the little white stuff in each blackhead, was all coming out of their pores after a couple hours!
I love this moisturizer, it is by far the best thing i’ve ever used, when i get out of the shower, i usually have really dry skin areas, like my forehead and around my nose, so i was worried this would dry out my face, but it doesnt at all, this stuff if seriously awesome, i love it!!! : D

This is amazing for treating acne, and it works beautifully. It’s a little on the expensive side, but this is for 2 months. For me it last for 4 months, because my face is small!!! I can’t speak enough about how great this product is, and how much it will help with your acne if you use it twice daily. Just be sure to use a moisturizer though with it, because benzoyl peroxide can be drying. Also add Dan’s jojoba oil to the moisturizer, and your skin will be gorgeous!!!
P.S. this product can bleach fabrics like all benzoyl peroxide does, but just be sure to let it dry on your face (15-20) minutes and you won’t have the problem.

I have been buying BP treatment from Dan’s website off and off for 5 years now. I keep coming back to it because of two simple reasons: it works, and it’s the best price!
Also, this lasts me WAY more than 2 months. More like a year. I only apply at night – my skin just can’t take the extra dryness from a twice daily application. And some days I give it a rest (I have mild to moderate acne and very dry skin), I’d say on average I use it 5 nights a week.
I was paying about $7 a tube for the tiny Neutrogena’s… this is a much better value, and a better formulation to boot. Goes on VERY smoothly. I highly recommend it to anyone with acne!

Choosing a Peel:

I never had much luck with the hydroxy acids that were too harsh for my skin (I’m 23), but this glycolic peel was amazing! There was a tingling sensation, but it didn’t hurt, and 5 minutes later I rinsed it off and felt immediate results. Even my husband noticed that my skin texture felt softer. The next morning I woke up, and my skin was glowing… the acne scars had started to dissolve away and I literally had new skin. I have been using this product for about 1 year now. I use it in the shower after I shave. It seems to cut down on the razor burn and does prevent break outs. The product rinses clean. It does however dry the nose somewhat. I notice that it seems to be somewhat effective on body acne as well. I will continue to use the product as long as they make it. I can only speak of the face clearing wash, as I have not really used anything else by this company. I will say that this product can be purchased in a chain store for about $4.34 a tube. The package deal(4) for almost $20.00 here doesn’t appear to be the best deal out there.
